Italian-Flavored Stir-Fried Celery and Chirimen Jako (Semi-dried tiny sardines)

  1. Cut the celery diagonally into 1 cm-wide slices.
  2. Cut up some of the tender leaves closest to the stalk in the same way.
  3. This is about 2 tablespoons of chirimen jako.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, and stir fry the chirimen jako over low heat until crispy.

  6. Add the celery and stir-fry until the leaves are wilted.
  7. Add the mixed herbs and salt.
  8. You can use any kind of mixed herbs you like.
