Momsmom's Black Bean Tamale Chili
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans
- 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 (15 ounce) can tamales
- fresh cilantro (dried has no taste)
- corn tortilla chips, to eat it with
- Open the cans, dump contents into a pot that's big enough rinse the cans and recycle.
- Pull the paper off the tamales and break them up into bite-size pieces.
- Stir to mix ingredients.
- Medium heat, let it get hot, stirring occasionally.
- If you're in a hurry just heat and eat, or you can let it simmer for a while.
- The cilantro tastes best if you add it late.
