Mayonnaise
- 1 egg, at room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon powdered mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 cup canola oil (or experiment with oils such as olive and peanut for a different flavor)
- Add the egg, mustard, salt, vinegar, and 1/4 cup of the canola oil to a blender or food processor and process until well combined.
- With the motor running, add the remaining oil in a slow, steady stream until all the oil has been added and the mixture is thick and creamy.
