Seasoned Bamboo Shoots
- 1 bag Bamboo shoots
- 1 tbsp Flavoring Ingredient: Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- Bring the bamboo shoots to a boil in water, fill up with fresh water and bring to a boil again to get rid of the chemical smell.
- Let them cool in the water, then drain in a colander.
- Stir-fry the bamboo shoots in sesame oil on high heat for 1 minute.
- Add the flavoring ingredients and continue stir-frying on medium heat.
- After 5 minutes, only the oil will remain.
- Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Done.
- Let sit for 5 minutes to let the flavors blend.
- When they are completely cooled they taste just like authentic seasoned bamboo shoots.
