Seasoned Bamboo Shoots

  1. Bring the bamboo shoots to a boil in water, fill up with fresh water and bring to a boil again to get rid of the chemical smell.
  2. Let them cool in the water, then drain in a colander.
  3. Stir-fry the bamboo shoots in sesame oil on high heat for 1 minute.
  4. Add the flavoring ingredients and continue stir-frying on medium heat.
  5. After 5 minutes, only the oil will remain.
  6. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Done.
  8. Let sit for 5 minutes to let the flavors blend.
  9. When they are completely cooled they taste just like authentic seasoned bamboo shoots.
