Yummy Refrigerator Dessert

  1. Crush vanilla wafers.
  2. Mix 1/2 of the crumbs with 2 tablespoons melted butter and spread in bottom of 8 or 9-inch square Pyrex dish.
  3. Beat eggs until frothy and add confectioners sugar, vanilla and 1/2 cup softened butter.
  4. Place egg mixture over crumbs; sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts over egg mixture.
  5. Top nuts with pineapple.
  6. Top pineapple with 1/2 pint stiffly beaten whipped cream.
  7. Sprinkle rest of cookie crumbs over whipped cream. Refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
  8. Top each serving with maraschino cherry.
