Pecan Crunch Apple Pie
- 2 cups apples chopped cooking
- 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1/2 cup sugar granulated
- 1/2 cup flour, all-purpose
- 1 each egg yolks beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
- 1/2 cup pecans chopped
- 1 each egg whites beaten until foamy
- 1 each pie shell (9 inch) 9 inch, unbaked
- Put chopped apples in a large bowl.
- Add sugar, flour, egg yolk, vanilla, lemon juice and pecans; mix well.
- Add egg white.
- Stir well and pour mixture into unbaked pie shell.
- Bake at 350F (180C) for 30 to 45 minutes
