Mama'S Lasagna
- 1 box lasagna noodles
- 1 (32 oz.) jar Ragu chunky garden-style spaghetti sauce with mushrooms and green pepper
- 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 (16 oz.) carton small curd cottage cheese
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- Brown meat adding spices (garlic powder and Italian seasoning).
- Drain and cool.
- Boil noodles until tender.
- Drain and cool.
- In bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan, empty can of tomato sauce.
- Layer a row of noodles, cover lightly with spaghetti sauce.
- Add layer of meat.
- In small bowl, mix cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese (save 1 cup of Mozzarella cheese for top). Layer cheese mixture on top of meat, then add layer of noodles, sauce, meat, cheese, etc.
- Alternate layers until finished with layer of noodles.
- (Should be 4 layers approximately.)
- Top with what's left of sauce (if needed, add tomato sauce).
- Top with layer of Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour until heated through.
