Simple Stew (No Need for Store-Bought Roux)
- 1 Chicken breast
- 3 Potatoes
- 1 Onion
- 1 Carrots (This time, I didn't use any)
- 1 Broccoli
- 4 to 5 tablespoons Plain flour
- 350 ml Water
- 450 ml Milk
- 2 Soup stock cubes
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- Stir fry the onions with butter.
- Once browned, add in the meat, potatoes, and carrots and stir fry.
- This time, I didn't use carrots.
- When everything is cooked, turn off the heat and mix in the flour.
- Once it's mixed, then add the water and milk.
- Once all mixed, turn the heat back on and add the soup stock.
- When it thickens and the vegetables are cooked, add in the broccoli and season with salt and pepper and it's done!
