Chocolate Chip And Walnut Muffins
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 6 oz. (1 c.) milk chocolate chips
- 6 oz. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- In a large bowl, stir together sugars, flour, baking powder and salt.
- In another bowl mix together milk, butter, eggs and vanilla until blended.
- Make a well in center of dry ingredients.
- Add milk mixture and stir to combine.
- Stir in chips and nuts.
- Spoon batter into greased muffin cups; grease the edges around cups.
- Bake in 400u0b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
- Remove muffins from oven and cool 5 minutes.
- Remove from pans and cool on rack.
- Serve warm or cold.
- Makes 12 large muffins.
