Maryland Lady Crab Cakes Recipe

  1. Remove all cartilage from crabmeat.
  2. In a bowl, mix bread crumbs, egg, mayonnaise and seasonings.
  3. Add in crabmeat and mix gently but thoroughly.
  4. If mix is too dry, add in a little more mayonnaise.
  5. Shape into 6 cakes.
  6. Cook cakes in fry pan, in just sufficient fat to prevent sticking, till browned; about 5 min on each side.
  7. Note: If you like, crab cakes may be deep-fried at 350 degrees for 2-3 min, or possibly till browned.
