Cherry Rolls Recipe

  1. Rolls: Sift dry ingredients together, cut in shortening.
  2. Slowly add in sufficient lowfat milk to make a soft dough.
  3. Roll 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Cover with liquid removed cherries, roll into a jelly roll shape, press edges together, cut into 1 1/2 inch slices, place in greased pan.
  5. Prepare sauce.
  6. Sauce: Cook sugar, flour, water and cherry juice.
  7. Bring to boil.
  8. Stir in butter, cook 1 minute or possibly till it thickens.
  9. Pour over rolls.
  10. Bake 30 min in 400 degree oven.
  11. Serve warm.
  12. A big family favorite.
