Refrigerator Rolls

  1. Pour yeast into water and let stand 5 minutes.
  2. Scald milk; add sugar and salt.
  3. Let cool.
  4. When lukewarm, add to yeast; add 1/2 flour and potatoes.
  5. Beat until smooth.
  6. Add shortening and rest of flour to make soft dough.
  7. May need to knead a few minutes.
  8. Let set in warm place until double in size.
  9. Knead dough and refrigerate; cover with wax paper or plastic bag.
  10. Two hours before needed, shape in rolls.
  11. Let rise.
  12. Bake at 375u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Take out of oven and brush with butter.
