Chocolate Caramel Sauce

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Once boiling, it will look like bubbling lava.
  5. Boil for 1 minute.
  6. Remove from heat and whisk in cream.
  7. Add chocolate chips and whisk until melted and smooth.
  8. The sauce will look like its separating but will smooth out after a minute or so of whisking.
  9. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
  10. Serve warm.
