Caramel Cashew Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Combine shortening, sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl.
  3. Beat until creamy at medium speed on mixer.
  4. Add flour, salt and baking soda.
  5. Combine, then add into creamed mixture until blended.
  6. Stir in nuts.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls (2 tablespoons dough) on ungreased cookie sheet, about 3-inches apart.
  8. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes.
  9. Cookies will be moist, but crisp.
  10. Cool about 2 minutes before removing from sheet.
  11. Do not overbake.
  12. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
