Herbed Tomato-Cheese Bread

  1. Combine biscuit mix and milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
  2. Turn out onto a floured surface; knead 3 or 4 times.
  3. Press into bottom and up sides of a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  4. Top with tomato slices.
  5. Saute onion in butter until tender.
  6. Stir in remaining ingredients, except paprika.
  7. Spoon mixture over tomatoes; sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 400u0b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
  8. Let stand 10 minutes.
  9. Yields about 12 servings.
