Barbecue Sauced Ribs
- nonstick cooking spray
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (8 oz.) can low sodium tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 3/4 tsp. celery seed
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 lb. meaty pork country-style ribs
- For sauce, spray a cold medium skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cook and stir the onion and garlic over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes until onion is tender.
- Stir in tomato sauce, water, honey, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, celery seed and pepper.
- Bring to boiling.
- Reduce heat.
- Simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
