Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts

  1. Run hot water over frozen brussel sprouts; drain; cut large ones in half.
  2. Put 1 cup flour in a grocery bag or large paper sack.
  3. Dump in Brussel sprouts and shake quickly to coat all sprouts.
  4. Mix remaining dry ingredients.
  5. Beat eggs and milk with a fork.
  6. Dip Brussel sprouts in egg mixture and roll in dry mixture.
  7. Drop into hot oil, frying until golden brown.
  8. Drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve hot, warm or cold.
  10. Serve plain or with favorite sauce; Ranch dressing, horseradish sauce, salsa or Catalina.
  11. They are even good smeared with pimento cheese.
  12. Serve as an appetizer, snack or as a vegetable to compliment a meal.
