Cheeseless, Gooey Baked Mac Recipe NicoleFriedman

  1. Boil the pasta in salted water for 6 min, The pasta will be undercooked but it will soak up the sauce later.
  2. Melt butter on low heat.
  3. Add 1 cup of milk and bring up to a simmer (not a boil).
  4. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/2 cup of milk.
  5. Slowly whisk into the hot milk.
  6. Stir constantly until it thickens.
  7. Take off heat and add spices.
  8. Mix the pasta with the aauce.
  9. Place in a buttered baking pan and place under the broiler until the top browns.
  10. With a spatula turn the pasta over (so you can crisp the other side).
  11. Place back under the broiler until browned and crisp.
