Bf Not Mt Loaf Recipe

  1. Reconstitute Beef NOT as per their instructions with 1 c. warm water and their prepared powdered broth, one tsp.. Microwave (covered) the dish after you mix it for about 2 min.
  2. Then keep it covered and let it sit for about 1/2 hour while your working on the other parts of the recipe:
  3. Mix these ingredients together with the reconstituted Beef NOT.
  4. You may have to experiment by adding a little more oat meal flakes or possibly egg replacer to get the consistency right for your taste.
  5. It should be a gooey mix and smell good before you put it in the oven.
  6. This should be baked in a regular oven, not a microwave, (even though Dixie sells a pan for microwave m**t loaf).
  7. You can serve this with a covering of real mashed potatoes and paprika after it is done.
  8. Hain makes an excellent powdered (vegan) gravy which has no fat in it.
  9. It is a perfect portion for this m**t loaf.
  10. You might serve this also with canned baked beans (vegetarian) on the side.
  11. THIS IS NOT A LOW SODIUM RECIPE.
  12. I think it has over 500 mgs sodium per portion.
  13. It tastes wonderful.
  14. Do not try making it without the nutritional yeast (debittered).
  15. I know you may think it will taste fine without it, but it NEEDS it-same with the catsup.
