Microwave Hot Deli Melt
- 2 French rolls (3 oz. each), split lengthwise and toasted
- mayonnaise
- 1/4 lb. sliced cooked beef, turkey or ham
- 1/2 c. alfalfa sprouts
- 1/3 c. sliced mushrooms (fresh)
- 4 thin slices tomato
- 4 thin slices onion
- 4 thin slices green pepper
- 2 (3/4 oz. each) slices Cheddar, Colby or Swiss cheese
- Spread insides of rolls with mayonnaise.
- Layer the bottom half of each roll with the meat, sprouts, tomato slice, mushrooms, onion, green pepper and cheese.
- Add top half of roll.
- Place both sandwiches on a paper towel lined plate.
- Microwave at 50% (Medium) for 3 1/2 to 6 1/2 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is warm to the touch, rotating plate once during cooking time.
