Brown Sugar Orange Glazed Ham

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Place the ham face-down in a deep roasting pan.
  3. Add in the water.
  4. Insert an oven-safe thermometer and cover the entire pan with aluminum foil.
  5. Place ham in the oven and bake until the thermometer reads 130-135 degrees F. Combine the brown sugar, pineapple juice, orange zest and dried mustard.
  6. Stir to combine.
  7. If its a little thick, add a tablespoon of water to thin it out.
  8. Set aside.
  9. Remove ham (and foil) and crank the oven temp up to 425 degrees F. Discard any accumulating juices in the pan.
  10. Brush the glaze all over the ham and return the ham without the foil to the oven to bake for 20-25 more minutes.
  11. Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes covered loosely in foil before serving.
  12. Note: I have made this with orange juice instead of the pineapple and found it to be too orange-y.
