Pork Chops with Cider-Garlic Reduction
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 6 cloves Garlic, Peeled & Sliced
- 1 pound Boneless Pork Chops
- 1- 1/2 cup Apple Cider
- 18 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- In a large skillet heat the oil over medium.
- Once hot add garlic and cook the garlic gently for a couple of minutes, until garlic is softened.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the pork chops.
- Raise the heat to medium-high and then add the pork.
- Cook the pork well, turning several times.
- The time will depend on the thickness but it should reach 145 F on an instant read thermometer.
- Remove the pork from the skillet to a plate to rest.
- Add the cider, salt and nutmeg into the skillet.
- Raise the heat to high and cook until the cider is reduced to the thickness of a sauce.
- Remove the garlic slices from the sauce before topping the pork with sauce.
