French Pizza Slices
- 1/2 c. bulk pork sausage
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can condensed tomato soup
- 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 tsp. crushed oregano leaves
- 3 drops hot pepper sauce
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese
- 1 loaf French bread, cut in half
- In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, cook sausage, onion and garlic until tender and sausage is well browned, stirring to break up meat.
- Drain off grease.
- Add soup, mushrooms and hot pepper sauce.
- Heat to boiling; reduce to low heat and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat; cool slightly.
- Place bread, cut side up, on baking pan.
- Spoon mixture on bread.
- Sprinkle on cheese.
- Bake at 450u0b0 for 15 minutes or until hot.
- Cut each bread half into 8 slices and serve.
