Chocolate Berry Cobbler

  1. Thaw berries if frozen, but do not drain.
  2. Combine berries, 1/4 cup sugar, and 2 tablespoon water; let stand 5 minutes.
  3. In a 9x9x2-inch baking panmelt butter in 350F.
  4. Stir together flour, 3/4 cup sugar, and bakingpowder; stir in milk.
  5. Remove pan from oven.
  6. Pour batter atop butter.
  7. Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
  8. Spoon undrained berries atop.
  9. Bake in a 350F oven about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool slightly.
  11. If desired, top each serving with ice cream.
