- Olive Oil
- 1/4 cups Sugar (optional)

- 1 package Sub Rolls
- 1.
- Preheat broiler.
- Heat oil in a large sauce pan over medium-high heat.
- Chop onions and slice mushrooms, then add to the skillet.
- 2.
- Let onion soften and mushrooms start to brown.
- Meanwhile, place meatballs on a paper-towel-lined plate and microwave according to the directions on the package.
- 3.
- When onions are soft, open marinara sauce and add to the vegetables.
- Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Stir in sugar (optional, I like a sweet sauce).
- 4.
- Add cooked meatballs to the sauce.
- Let bubble for 7-10 minutes, so the meatballs can season the sauce.
- 5.
- Split open four sub rolls and arrange on a cookie sheet.
- Spoon meatballs and sauce onto one side of the sub roll.
- Cover with grated cheese and shredded mozzarella.
- 6.
- Slide under the broiler and watch while the cheese melts and browns.
