Apple Crunch Coffee Cake
- 2 cups biscuit baking mix (bisquick)
- 23 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 each eggs
- 2 cups apples thinly sliced, pared
- 2 tablespoons nuts chopped
- 23 cup biscuit baking mix (bisquick)
- 23 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk to 3 t milk
- Heat oven to 400F (200C) F.
- Grease 9 x 9 square pan.
- Mix baking mix, milk, sugar and egg; beat vigorously 30 seconds.
- Spread half of the batter in pan.
- Arrange apple slices on batter; sprinkle with half of the topping.
- Spread remaining batter over apple slices; sprinkle with remaining topping.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
- Bake about 25 minutes, cool.
- Drizzle with glaze.
- Topping: Combine dry ingredients, then cut in margarine.
