Registry Resort'S Brownies

  1. Cream sugar, shortening and butter until light and fluffy. Add corn syrup.
  2. Mix and scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  3. Add melted chocolate; mix well.
  4. Scrape down the sides of the bowl again.
  5. Gradually add eggs, mixing well.
  6. Stir the remaining ingredients together; stir into the batter, mixing only until ingredients are incorporated.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350u0b0.
  9. Makes 18 brownies.
