Southwest-Style Chicken Burgers

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Mix together egg, tortilla chips, sweet pepper, chili powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Add chicken, mix well.
  4. (mixture will be wet).
  5. Shape chicken into four 3/4 inch patties.
  6. Place patties onto unheated rack of broiler pan.
  7. Broil 4-5 inches from heat for 14 - 18 minutes or until no longer pink.
  8. (165 degrees) turning once halfway through.
  9. Top burgers with cheese and broil an additional minute until cheese melts.
  10. Serve on toasted rolls.
  11. Top with avocado, lettuce, and salsa.
