Chikuwa Kabayaki Rolls
- 1 packages Chikuwa
- 1 Katakuriko
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 Toasted sesame seeds
- 1 for frying Oil
- This is the chikuwa that I used.
- Mix together with the ingredients.
- Cut a slit into the chikuwa vertically, open it up, roll it out so that the outside of the chikuwa becomes the inside, secure with four toothpicks, and cut apart between the toothpicks.
- Coat in katakuriko, and cook on both sides in a frying pan well-coated with a fair amount of oil.
- Wipe excess grease with a paper towel once the rolls have turned golden brown.
- Add flavoring ingredients to the frying pan, coat both sides of the rolls in the mixture, top with sesame seeds, and it's done.
