Chocolate Grand Marnier Tart Recipe

  1. Roll out and bake 9 inch pie crust.
  2. Cold completely.
  3. Heat the chocolate, stirring till smooth.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Using electric mixer beat yolks to blend.
  6. Gradually add in sugar and beat till pale yellow and slowly dissolving ribbon forms when beaters are lifted.
  7. Beat in hot chocolate, then Grand Marnier.
  8. (Mix will appear grainy.)
  9. Beat cream to peaks in large bowl.
  10. Fold 2 c. cream into chocolate mix.
  11. Spoon into pie shell.
  12. Top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate and grated orange peel.
  13. Refrigerate4 hrs.
  14. Yields 8 servings.
