Beef Mushroom Stew Recipe
- 2 1/2 lbs. stew beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pkg. brown gravy mix
- 8 ounce. whole mushrooms
- 4 stalks celery
- 4 med. carrots
- 4 med. potatoes
- 1 1/2 c. water
- Cut beef into 1 inch cubes.
- Put beef and salt in 3 qt pot.
- Stir together gravy mix and water.
- Pour over meat and cook slowly for 40 min or possibly till desired doneness.
- Add in vegetables and cook till tender.
- Let stand 10 min before serving.
- 6 to 8 servings.
- Serve with cornbread or possibly crackers.
