Sausage Jalapeno Poppers

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees .
  2. Brown sausage in large skillet until no longer pink.
  3. Drain as much grease as possible or poppers will be very greasy.
  4. Stir cream cheese into sausage until well mixed.
  5. Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise.
  6. Remove veins and seeds.
  7. Stuff each jalapeno half with sausage mixture.
  8. Slice bacon in half lengthwise and crosswise.
  9. Wrap one piece of bacon around each filled jalapeno.
  10. Secure bacon with toothpicks, if necessary.
  11. Arrange jalapenos on large, shallow baking pan.
  12. Bake for 20 25 minutes or until bacon is evenly browned.
