Almond Fingers Recipe
- 2 ounce butter
- 1/4 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 ounce sugar salt
- 1 x egg
- 1/4 lb flour Icing sugar blanched minced almonds
- 1 x egg white almond essence
- Cream the butter and sugar till pale, add in egg yolk.
- Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt.
- Add in and mix to a hard dough.
- Roll dough out 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut dough into rectangles 3 x 1/2".
- Prepare icing by beating the egg white with the icing sugar till thick.
- Spread the icing proportionately on biscuits and sprinkle with the minced nuts.
- Arrange proportionately spaced on a lightly greased baking tray.
- Bake 350 F 10 min.
