Pecan Pie Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, pecans and wheat germ.
  3. Stir in applesauce, sugar, butter, syrup and vanilla.
  4. Pour onto a foil-lined jelly roll pan.
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring twice.
  6. Remove from oven and let it cool for 30 minutes before mixing in chocolate chunks.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
  8. Granola will last for 2-3 days.
