Perfected Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2 14 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 34 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup butter, softened
- 34 cup granulated sugar
- 34 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Combine flour, salt, and baking powder in a small mixing bowl and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars, butter, and vanilla.
- Beat with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add in eggs.
- Carefully add flour mixture.
- Beat until soft dough forms.
- Add in chocolate chips and walnuts (if you prefer).
- Drop teaspoon-sized amounts of dough onto a cookie sheet, spread 2 inches apart.
- Cook for 8-11 minutes or until edges turn brown.
