Barbecued Beef Brisket Recipe
- 1 (4-5 lb.) brisket
- 1 1/2 tbsp. seasoning salt
- 1 1/2 tbsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tbsp. paprika
- 2 c. vegetable oil
- 2 c. cider vinegar
- 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 bay leaves, crumbled
- Favorite brand of barbecue sauce
- Adolph's tenderizing salt
- Sprinkle both sides of the brisket with the Adolph's tenderizing salt and let set for 1 hour.
- Combine seasoning salt, pepper, and paprika; rub into both sides of the brisket.
- Place brisket in a shallow baking container.
- Combine oil, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and bay leaves, pour marinade mix over brisket and chill for 2 days, turning occasionally.
- Remove from the marinade, coat both sides with your favorite brand of barbecue sauce and let sit in the refrigerator for 1 day.
- Wrap basted brisket in heavy duty cooking foil and bake in a 200 degree oven for 8 to 10 hrs or possibly till tender.
