Country Spice Cake
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. plain yogurt
- 3/4 c. butter (1 1/2 sticks)
- 1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
- 3 eggs
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease and lightly flour a 12-cup ring mold or 10-inch tube pan.
- Measure flour and remaining ingredients into large mixing bowl.
- With mixer at low speed, beat ingredients just until mixed, frequently scraping bowl with spatula.
- Increase speed to high; beat 2 minutes, occasionally scraping bowl.
- Turn batter into prepared pan.
- Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes on wire rack.
- Remove from pan; cool.
- Makes 16 servings.
