Winter Squash and Apples (Slow Cooker)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon black pepper
- 14 cup brown sugar
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 (2 lb) butternut squash (pealed and seeded)
- 2 apples (cored and sliced)
- 1 medium onion (quartered and sliced)
- 1 12 tablespoons butter
- Cut squash into 2 inch pieces and place in slow cooker.
- Add apples and onions.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper and stir well.
- Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours.
- Just before serving, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter and stir in with squash, apples, and onions.
- Add additional salt and pepper to taste.
