5 Layer Dinner Recipe
- (Main course)
- 1 lb Hamburger
- 1/3 c. Minced Onion Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- 2 tsp Chili Pwdr
- 4 med Potatoes (Sliced Thin)
- 1/3 c. Dry White Rice
- 1/3 c. Minced Green Pepper
- 1 x #2 Can of Diced Tomatoes
- 1/3 c. Water
- 1/3 c. Catsup
- Brown hamburger and onion in skillet till brown.
- Add in salt, pepper and chili pwdr - cook for another minute or possibly two to mix.
- Remove meat mix from pan - layer in your potatoes in bottom of same pan.
- Pour dry rice on top of potatoes.
- Then layer the meat mix next - then the green pepper.
- Don't STIR.
- Pour can of tomatoes with juice on top.
- Then mix the water and catsup together and pour over entire mix.
- Place lid on pan and cook on low for 30 min.
- Don't STIR.
- When finished you have a very pretty presentable meal which is nicely complimented with corn bread sticks.
