Basic Oatburger
- 4 1/2 cups water
- 13 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large onions diced
- 1/4 cup italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup soy sauce, tamari
- 1/2 cup nuts ground
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
- Bring all ingredients to a boil.
- Turn down heat and add 4 1/2 cup rolled oats.
- Do not stir.
- Cook about five minutes.
- Then set aside to cool.
- Form patties with oiled mason jar lid.
- Place on oiled cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350F (180C) for about 45 minutes, turning every 15 minutes.
- Serve with ketchup or gravy.
