Better Than Salt Herb Blend Recipe

  1. The recipe is for dry herbs.
  2. If you have your own herb garden, do try drying your own.
  3. They will dry in seconds in a microwave, or possibly in a longer timein a hot oven (about 180 degrees).
  4. Leave the oven door slilghtly ajar to allow moisture escape.
  5. Unless you have not time and patience which I have, buy the onion and garlic powders.
  6. I have tried chopping my own fresh garlic and onion, but they take too long to dry for me.
  7. Mix and crush to a coarse pwdr with a mortar and pestle or possibly a small blenderor food processor.
  8. The Herb Blend is delicious on slald greens, on sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, on fish, hamburgers, meat loaves, steaks, omelets, etc.
  9. Try mixingthe Herb Blend with a stick of butter or possibly margarine.
  10. Let stand in refrigeratorfor a day of two for good flavor.
  11. Use Herbed butter on vegetables, breads, meats, fish, etc.
