Bonnie's Caramel Bars Recipe
- 14 ounce. Kraft caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. butter, melted
- 1 c. nuts, minced
- 6 ounce. chocolate chips
- Combine cake mix, butter, nuts and 1/3 c. of the evaporated lowfat milk; mix well.
- Press 1/2 of mix into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
- Bake 6 min at 350 degrees; cold.
- Heat caramels with remaining evaporated lowfat milk.
- Pour chocolate chips on cake, and then pour caramel mix over chips.
- Press remaining dough on top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 min.
- Cold and serve!
