Venison Chops In Foil Recipe
- 8 tender venison chops, 1/2 inch thick
- 2 sm. onions, minced fine
- 1 stick butter
- 8 med. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh grnd black pepper
- Heavy aluminum foil
- 8 slices cool boiled ham
- 8 tbsp. lowfat sour cream
- Heat 1/2 butter in large heavy skillet and saute/fry the chops for 10 min.
- Transfer to a heated plate and keep hot.
- Heat remaining butter in skillet and saute/fry onions, mushrooms and parsley till golden brown.
- Salt and pepper.
- Turn off heat and prepare foil packets.
- Cut 8 pcs of foil, each 10 x 14 inches.
- On each piece, place in center one piece of ham; top with a venison chop.
- Add in a generous Tbsp.
- mushroom mix and 1 Tbsp.
- lowfat sour cream.
- Seal.
- Place in 350 degree oven for 20 min.
- Serve in foil.
