Deep Dish Pear Pie

  1. Sprinkle pears with lemon juice.
  2. Sift together the sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  3. Mix with the pears.
  4. Place mixture in a buttered oven proof dish, dot with butter.
  5. Cover pie with pastry crust.
  6. Bake at 425F for 30 minutes or until pears are tender.
