Deep Dish Pear Pie
- 6 cups pears, sliced
- 3 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- Butter
- 1 pastry crust
- Sprinkle pears with lemon juice.
- Sift together the sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Mix with the pears.
- Place mixture in a buttered oven proof dish, dot with butter.
- Cover pie with pastry crust.
- Bake at 425F for 30 minutes or until pears are tender.
