Soft Tofu Hamburg Steak: Japanese Style
- 1 block Firm tofu
- 150 grams Ground pork
- 150 grams Ground chicken
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Onion
- 3 tbsp Katakuriko
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Sweet sake
- 1 tbsp Japanese soup base
- 100 ml Water
- 1 tbsp Katakuriko (dissolved in water)
- Drain tofu.
- You can drain it easily putting it between two plates.
- Mince onion and heat it in a pan until it becomes semitransparent (medium heat).
- How to make sauce Add in a pan, heat, and add katakuriko slurry to thicken.
- Mix it well.
- Make 6 patties.
- Make sure to remove the air pockets from patties!
- Heat oil in a pan, place patties and make shallow wells in the center of the patties.
- Cover the pan (medium heat).
- Add a little water and cover the pan again.
- Heat with steam.
- Saute both sides of the patties.
- How to make sauce Add in a pan, heat it up, add the dissolved katakuriko to thicken it.
- When both sides of patties are done, place them on a dish, and pour the sauce on it.
