Drunken Kielbasa

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat butter until melted and foaming subsides.
  2. Add kielbasa and onion, cook over medium flame until browned.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low and add flour, stir well to incorporate.
  4. De-glaze with beer and mix well, add seasonings.
  5. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low, simmer 20 minutes.
  6. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  7. Serve over hot egg noodles with more beer.
  8. Variations:
  9. Worcestershire sauce is welcome.
  10. Peppers from your garden add a great kick.
  11. Try adding nutmeg in the later winter months, and serve it with sweet potatoes.
