Melt-in-your-mouth Chocolate Terrine

  1. Heat the water and sugar in a small pan until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Turn the heat off.
  3. Add the butter and chocolate.
  4. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes, then fold in with a rubber spatula to melt thoroughly.
  5. Add the liqueur into the mixture from Step 2.
  6. Then add the beaten eggs in 3 batches, and mix well with each addition.
  7. Line the pound cake tin with parchment paper, and pour in the chocolate dough.
  8. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  9. Fill an oven tray with boiling water to make a water bath.
  10. Place the pound cake tin in the center and steam-bake for 40 minutes.
  11. Let the terrine cool down at room temperature.
