Ga Kho Gung (Braised Ginger Chicken)
- 1 chicken (6 thighs) dark meat, remove as much fat/skin as possible, and cut into small pieces
- 3 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 onion, chopped(diced)
- 2 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 piece (about the size of your thumb) ginger, jullian
- 1 stalk green onion (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 ground pepper to taste
- 1 cup water
- On high heat caramelize sugar(about 1 min), then add chicken, garlic, onion, ginger.
- Stir for 2 minutes or until chicken opaque.
- Add salt, fish sauce, pepper and water, stir and cover for about 10 min or till chicken cooked
- Garnish with green onion.
