Connie Griffin's Signature Salad

  1. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons sugar into a nonstick skillet; stir constantly until sugar melts and coats almonds.
  2. Remove from heat when almonds are brown.
  3. Be careful because almonds burn easily.
  4. Mix together poppy seed dressing ingredients.
  5. Mix dressing with the salad ingredients; chill.
