BITE SIZED OREO CHOCOLATE BITES

  1. Using a food processor, process in batches entire package oreo cookies
  2. Using a good size mixing bowl and your hands, mix oreo crumbs with one 8oz package soften cream cheese.
  3. Do this until the consistency is somewhat moist.
  4. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper
  5. Roll mixture using palm of hand into bite sized balls.
  6. Repeat until all mixture has been used.
  7. Gently insert sticks into the center.
  8. Put the complete cooking sheet into refrigerator for at least 30 minutes
  9. Using a microwave safe dish, melt 1/2 pkg chocolate of your choice.
  10. Do this in 30 sec increments until chocolate is completely melted with no lumps and bumps.
  11. Pull cookie tray from refrigerator.
  12. Working one at a time hold stick end and roll oreo balls in the chocolate, and place gently back onto wax paper.
  13. Repeat until all have been dipped, about 37-39 balls.
  14. Put tray back into refrigerator for 30 minutes to set
  15. Using a spray bottle gently spray chocolate ball and using a shallow dish add sprinkles and roll.
  16. Place complete oreo sprinkle balls in wax paper to set for 10 minutes in refrigerator.
  17. Pull out serving platter and arrange and serve this dish that both kids and adults go nutz over.
  18. EXTRA INFO: if using gluten free oreos yield is about 20 balls.
  19. Also if you choose to make both because you have people in your family who eat both normal and gluten free, I use a marker on the gluten free sticks to distinguish the difference for my guest.
